Never forget that at one point there was a hot debate in Denver on whether the Nuggets did the right thing by trading Nurkic away to pave the way for Jokic to start
Nets are really the only ones who can offer that much. I assume they'll throw out a 3/75 offer or something like that. That'll be tough for the Sixers to match.
Numbers are incredibly inflated being on a dogshit Jazz team. It's a no brainer deal for Charlotte but he's not going to move the needle for anyone
I mean, yeah…he wouldn’t be getting 18 per game on a good team. But he is still shooting pretty efficiently with the higher volume he gets on the shit team. Not a needle mover but a solid player to have on your team at the right price. And at age 26, even better.
this deal makes 0 sense to me. both are expiring contracts so why give up an asset to get the worst player in the deal? unless it's strictly just so you don't have to play sexton next year.
I’m not as low on Sexton as others. He’s just going to slot into the 6th man role for a year or end up getting substantial minutes if Melo can’t stay healthy. Jazz have no use for him because he can sometimes drop 30 and win you a game. Utah is gonna go all in on tanking in hopes to get Dybantsa or Peterson (also developing Collier or Keyonte is important)
I feel like the smartest thing for Grimes would be to sign a 1 year deal and try to show everyone the end of last season wasn't a fluke. Unless Brooklyn throws the bag at him, then I guess take that deal. But there's gonna be a lot more teams with cap space next summer. I wouldn't be surprised to see Utah move Clarkson and Collins now. Maybe if they move enough vets they'll get a pick back?
Orlando declined their team options on Moe Wagner and Caleb Houstan, which gives them access to their full non-taxpayer MLE. I feel like they definitely need another veteran guard for the bench , especially since Suggs is probably going to miss a bunch of games again. They tried to trade for NAW at the deadline, but they probably don't have a shot here unless he specifically wants to be in Orlando. I expect they re-sign Moe eventually.
