You’ve done “Jaylen Brown is the best player on the Celtics” far too many times to think he can’t lead them to close to .500 and missing both the playoffs and a premium pick lol

  2. I think the Boston front office won’t have Jaylen play even close to half the season

It's probably an overreaction after only 2 games, but I think Orlando adding more capable offensive players around their core is really revealing the deficiencies in Paolo's game to this point. Namely that he's spent the majority of his life as the best player on his teams, and therefore focused on working as the primary ball handler. His off-ball repertoire is mayyyybe average, but that's generous. Hopefully he works on cutting and how to roll after setting a screen more than just pounding the ball and shooting turnaround jumpers going forward.

    Gonna need more than that

  6. Yeah, Miami can kick rocks with this. They don’t regret the trade because of this news. They regretted it well before. Don’t try to use this as a way to make good on a bad decision you made previously.

If the league and Charlotte withheld information that he was involved in a federal investigation, they absolutely have a grievance lol

What Giannis has done through two games is impressive. It’s also important to note that it was against the Wizards and Raptors.

  16. I think the whole “the east is weak” narrative has been a little over emphasized this year. I kinda like several teams haha

And in the west, outside of Denver and OKC, you can find flaws in every team.

  17. Good players play bad teams every day and they don’t consistently put up those numbers haha

You’re not doing this but the narrative is just funny and yes I’m going into full tinfoil hat mode - when Jokic or Wemby do it no one ever mentions the quality of opponent. I just think the overall NBA media want Giannis out of Milwaukee so they will disqualify what he does on this team - his MVP odds are less than 5% lol

Well, I do enjoy fall weather.

  19. That’s fair - I also think the roster around JB and White is dog shit too and that’s probably going to contribute more to their poor record than anything else haha

There was some Jokic is putting up empty stats narrative (compared to his previous standards that is) last year, though not significantly. I think people had a little Jokic MVP fatigue. Wemby is still so new and makes it all look so jaw dropping, plus the Spurs have also been bad so I don’t think people question the opponent as much.

the media does seem particularly fixated on Giannis going elsewhere though, I’ll give you that. That being said I think if I were to pick from a list of superstars in their prime that would be most likely to leave their team, it probably would be him. His public comments saying he’ll stay as long as they’re competitive is a double-edged sword. It’s puts the pressure on the front office to make moves (which they have always tried to stay competitive), but it also gives the dumb talking heads something to latch on to.
