Also Drew, I had some tinfoil theories around the Luka stuff. Do yourself a favor and just don’t go down that path. It’s not worth the energy. At the end of the day the NBA is a massive product and they’re gonna do what they’re gonna do.

 

Man, I couldnt even sit through that entire Magic game. This team needs to figure it out quickly. Had such high hopes and we cant even perform as good as last season. We got killed by the Hawks entire game after playing them just 2 weeks ago (with Trae on the court) and not losing nearly as bad.

 

I like Mosley but this team might not be for him

 

I was also doing some channel flipping in the second half. Their attempts at increasing tempo have been a mixed bag, and I'm not sure it’s the right call. The increased scoring doesn't matter when your defense has regressed, and they're only 26th in field goal attempts despite being 5th in pace, so not ideal. The shorter preseason didn't do them any favors in trying to overhaul things, but I don’t think it's the only issue. Might be time to move off Mosley.

 

The Kings have turned into that guy who keeps trying to buy your used cars, but with players who can't play off the ball.

Really good second quarter for the Sixers without Embiid, PG, and McCain tonight.

Jaylen Brown remains really good at basketball

 

Only good thing about this game for the Sixers (other than the second quarter) is that Maxey still leads the league in scoring.

 

Nurse's decision to play Maxey + Oubre eleven minutes apiece in the fourth quarter of a game in which they were not competitive is pretty baffling, to say the least.

 

Imagine tonight okc loses first game. Like all starters but SGA out lol

Miami keeping it competitive with Denver despite Bam leaving the game in the first half. But uhh, really hope he can come back because our only other center tonight is Ware since Vlad Goldin is on G-League assignment. Spo really had 6’7” Keshod Johnson guarding Jokic at one point lol

 

Wiggins does always take advantage of his time in the starting lineup lol
