Ok so we are kinda at a halfway point this Olympics where a bunch of sports are ending and new stuff is coming

New events/disciplines that start tomorrow:

• Wrestling
• Track Cycling
• Sport Climbing
• Artistic Swimming

Park Skateboarding and Flatland Kayak/Canoe starts Tuesday. Weightlifting and Taekwondo starts on Wednesday. Pentathlon and Rhythmic Gymnastics on Thursday. Breaking on Friday.

lol, I think his delivery made this sound worse than it was. There’s definitely some American exceptionalism happening when we claim world champions for our major sports champs, but yeah, it’s usually because they are without a doubt the best in the world at those sports. In his sport, saying you’re the world champ is way different than the US champ, so I see where his mindset is.

 

I like that In other countries Archery is kind of an upper class fancy lad sport, but in the USA our archers look like Bass Pro Shop employees

 

US women’s indoor volleyball team with a nice sweep on France. Not a super eventful game but kinda nice to see them dunk one out after struggling with China and Serbia
