Yea it seemed like having non-French athletes and non-French performers was an attempt at a unity message but I think they kind of half assed it if that was the idea.

 

Unity/global message, I mean okay, but two Americans, a Spanish and a Romanian (two tennis players)....you can do better than that.

How about like 1 mega famous athlete per continent (to represent the olympic rings)?
