  1. There are a few WRs I like still available and there is a decent falloff at CB after Ennis.

  5. Elf always loves the Panthers irl drafts when they happen, it adds to my blind optimism, and then all the players in the draft stink. So if he doesn’t like this one, maybe it’s a win!

  6. Also

    Raiders wanna move up

I wanted to trade up for Kool-Aid or Ladd but it looks like I wouldn’t have had a chance to.

I would’ve probably had to trade up with TB and give up a third instead of a fourth (or two fourths) which I didn’t wanna do

  10. I prob would have considered your offer in a different scenario, but you kinda fucked me with the AD pick so I had to take what I can get.

I like guys like Roman Wilson and Ricky Pearsall but I need someone who doesn't do their damage from the slot. Keon Coleman worries me, though I tend to defer to @Night Channels on WRs, I did the "Big Physical WR who doesn't separate thing" with N'Keal Harry and I'm scared haha

Pearsall isn't a true slot, if it's any consolation.

  13. Kool-Aid / Ladd combo is my ideal scenario for Panthers at 33 and 39. I think it’s slightly possible haha

I think Kool-Aid goes higher than mock drafts have been indicating. dude is the biggest victim of prospect fatigue

  16. No, he's def more of a hybrid and wouldn't have been a deal breaker, but with my best WRs being Pop Douglas and Kendrick Bourne, you can see where my head is at on Troy.

    there is one way out

I almost went with Keon Coleman or Xavier Worthy for the Bills, since they've visited with both.

I was humming and hawing over this decision but fuck it

Jags take Xavier Legette, WR, South Carolina

fuck every Trevor Lawrence hater/doubter, my goal as mock draft GM is to make sure he has a 4500 yard 30 TD season in year 4 so all of them shut the fuck up lmao.

This Jags QB for once is not a bust and actually does have DAWG potential, but we might ruin him anyway by giving him no support. Thank you Baalke for reinforcing his offensive line and adding depth on defense, now gtfo of my way so I can draft the receivers you failed to prioritize in all of Trevor’s first 3 years. We’re already way late on that, compared to almost every other team with a young QB who stacked their offense by year 2 (except Lamar who got “running QB” treatment. Even Fields got better WRs than Lawrence and Lamar lol.)

Legette’s still raw about route running and leverage, but he has every athletic trait you could possibly want for a guy you’re trying to develop INTO a route runner. He was clocked as the fastest college receiver on the field during the season, reaching a speed of nearly 24 mph in pads! He’s heavier and stronger than Adonai or Kirk and very good at body positioning / jump balls (did this dude play basketball first or something cause he made a living in 2023 off postering mfs at the catch point). But he still runs a 4.39, has agility and jumps 40 inches. Legette is built more like AJ Brown but as a prospect he actually reminds me of DK Metcalf - an absolute physical specimen who, while he isn’t nuanced yet, is ascending like crazy wth massive steps forward in year 5 and the Senior Bowl.

I would be nervous about Legette being our go to guy since he still has a lot to learn… but with Adonai Mitchell drafted, Legette’s insane athleticism and jump ball skills become a huge luxury. He’s also a sick run blocker for a WR which is a big plus. At worst if he busts we still have Gabe Davis at WR3… at best, Legette might replace Kirk once he hits 30 and/or if he continues to miss time to injuries.

No more excuses for Trevor. We replaced our shitty right tackle last year, replaced our shitty left guard mid season, and replaced our shitty center this off-season. they have continuity now. We still have a backfield led by Etienne and hopefully Bigsby makes fewer awful nervous mistakes and is better complement in year 2. And now in this scenario he’s throwing to Mitchell, Legette, Kirk and Engram. I’m not bargain binning this offense anymore I’m double dipping receivers and making us a powerhouse.

  22. Legette is the WR that I think the Panthers ultimately end up with in the draft.

very ironic considering the way you play Madden and the fact that you were happy with the way the Bengals built their team

The Titans have DeAndre Hopkins and Calvin Ridley. The Texans, added Stefon Diggs, Nico Collins just had a 1300 yard season, and Tank Dell was one of the most dangerous deep threats in the NFL for several weeks until he got hurt. The Colts are getting AR back to a Pittman / JT offense that scored a lot of points with GARDNER MINSHEW. All of those QBs were rookies last year and are likely to take a step forward.

Jaguars are not winning this fucking division if they don’t boost their offense. Last year’s offensive performance was absolutely unacceptable. Double dipping receivers is a legit strategy and I’m not writing off Legette’s insane athleticism, Sutton and DK turned out great, Claypool sucks sure but that’s because he’s a moron lol. Outside of that, since I already got Adonai to handle the tougher route running jobs early into his career, I’d be stoked to also take the big physical fast jump ball guy, use him as a wildcard weapon here and there in his rookie season, and trust your coaching from there.
