Thought about Cooper but even with Bosa & Mack returning this year LAC needs a defensive difference maker and I think pass rusher is an easier day 1 impact for them

Cincinnati is taking Taliese Fuaga, OL, Oregon State

After some deliberation, I'm going to default to protecting Burrow above all else. Fuaga is exactly what the Bengals look for in a tackle too.

Los Angeles Rams select Byron Murphy II, IDL, Texas

Donald is gone and there's no replacing him but maybe with BM2 + Kobie they can soften the blow of losing the surefire hall of famer.

Oh wooowww. If anyone wants to move up, Pittsburgh is listening. Otherwise I’ll get a pick situated soon.

Pittsburgh selects JC Latham, RT, Alabama

Pittsburgh is a great candidate to trade down in the first. So many of their needs line up with so many great prospects on this range. One of the few guys I’d stand pat for, though is JC Latham. A true RT that allows Broderick to move back to his natural left side.

If Pitt makes it to being on the clock with Cooper/JPJ/Latham available that’s a dream scenario

and who knows? They might like Mims more. Mims, Fuaga, or Latham at tackle. JPJ at center. Wiggins or Cooper at DB. And then there’s some WRs. So many to choose from!

the board fell terribly for Miami here lol basically the last 4-5 picks were all guys I wanted. Anyways, I am just going to do this because I love the player

With the 21st pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select Graham Barton, OL, Duke

Miami loves versatile OLinemen, and that is exactly what Barton provides. Mike McDaniel is surely in awe of the testing numbers that Barton put up. Barton has the chance to be a ten year starter at multiple positions along the OL.

JPJ is tempting, but I have taken him before and the rumors are he is sliding so I just went with the guy I like

Eagles select Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia

I go back and forth on OL and CB for the Eagles in the first round, but Howie’s draft history suggests it will be OL (though I think the lack of a first-round CB has been more circumstantial than belief).

The Eagles need a backup RT behind Lane Johnson, who hasn’t played a full season since 2015. While he’s still one of the best offensive tackles in the league, the Eagles need to bolster their depth behind him and develop their RT of the future.

Yes, the Eagles are drafting another Georgia player, but surely this one will actually be good, right?

    …right?

Jaguars select Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas

He’s not one of the “big three” but he is a clear #4 for me & the last guy that I’d comfortably put at X receiver early into his career, without having too many questions whether he can handle it.

He’s great at jump balls like Legette, he has blazing downfield speed like BTJ, but he’s more agile and a better route runner than either. I think all 3 players are projects to some degree but I have less questions about Mitchell’s ability to learn an entire route tree and be creative and elusive about it. He gets some serious separation at times.

Zero questions about athleticism either. At 6’2” 205 he has the size and frame to handle some press coverage, he’s VERY explosive with 4.34 speed and an 11’4” Broad jump that is tied for 6th best EVER since the Combine started measuring it. 39.5” inch vert and longer arms than 95% of corners (32.5”) gives him an excellent catch radius to boot, which Trevor is lacking outside of Evan Engram. Mitchell having this good of a Combine directly advanced him above BTJ and Legette on my board, he’s just as fast and great at leaping but with a broader skillset.

Best of all, while Mitchell’s career will be knocked for being buried on Georgia’s depth chart before finally showing up on a Texas team that threw to Worthy more… what makes him stand out to me is when they did throw him the ball he made the important plays VERY reliably. He has ONE dropped pass over the last two years, and in his final season he had 11 touchdowns and FORTY-SEVEN first downs. This is a guy that gets the fuck open and makes tough acrobatic catches when it REALLY counts, and he’s an ascending prospect that’s just getting started.

say hello to Trevor Lawrence’s new go-to-guy. He’s a chain mover, a red zone target, capable of adjusting to bad throws (a lot of tape on this, thanks Ewers) and a guy who can run really tricky routes with creative stutter steps when you need it on third down. To trade down and still get him is quality value.
