what happened was initially I drew Chicago, Arizona, and Minnesota and I didn't want to hog all the teams with multiple picks and I guess I forgot which ones I had switched lol

The Atlanta Falcons select:

Dallas Turner - EDGE - Alabama



ATL has zero pass rush threats on the roster. Contemplated giving them another weapon here but the premium pass rusher wins out.

 

The Chicago Bears select:

Jared Verse - EDGE - Florida State



Very similar situation to ATL except Chicago already has Sweat. The other premium edge player in this class is selected here.

 

The New York Jets select:

Rome Odunze - Wideout - Washington



This pick was going to be a Husky from the jump. Odunze compliments Garrett Wilson and has a chance to develop behind Mike Williams in 2024. This would allow Wilson to slide into the slot more.

The Denver Broncos select: Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo



It’s easy to assume Denver goes QB at 12 but I think if they can’t trade back, they go with a rising star like Mitchell. With PS2 on the opposite side, it’s possible this duo can be one of the best in the league.

I’m glad that happened so that I have to do a different Colts mock than the other ones which all have Quinyon at 1.15

 

I always think about the Eagles and Broncos possibly getting a trade going here, but I have a tough time seeing the Eagles going all the way up to 12

Maybe they’d do it for Mitchell or Arnold though

 

I could see it happening if Denver thinks they can get Nix that late.

 

I like the Robert Mays take that there’s no logical reason for Denver to stay at that pick vs accumulating assets but it’s Sean Payton so you’re almost certainly staying pat or finding some way to trade up
