The Eagles don’t have much at DT behind Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, and Milton Williams. Meanwhile, both Davis and Williams have yet to put it all together. They could use one more DT to add to the rotation, unless they feel confident in Marlon Tuipulotu or Moro Ojomo stepping up into a rotation role in nickel packages. Still, with Williams in a contract year, Wingo gives the Eagles a young player they can develop into a rotational role throughout their rookie contract.

Panthers haven’t been able to find a receiver in this draft, but there are other ways to improve the passing game. Shipley has a high floor imo due to his ability to be effective on all 3 downs. I don’t see how he won’t at least be decent. And at this point in the draft, that’s a win. Oh, and he’s a Charlotte native and life-long Panthers fan.

Eagles select Zak Zinter, Guard, Michigan

Maybe this seems like a reach given that Zinter is recovering from a gruesome injury. However, I’ve read that he’s doing well in his recovery and should be expected to play in his rookie season. The Eagles can slow-play Zinter’s recovery by giving Tyler Steen the opportunities to show whether or not he can be the starting right guard for them. If he can, then Zinter can serve as the backup RG. If he can’t, then perhaps Zinter gets a shot to usurp Steen during the season or during the 2025 offseason.
