  1. JRShoenberger

    there is one way out

    Your pick for Dallas

  2. Cowboys select Jamari Thrash, WR, Louisville

    CeeDee Lamb is holding out
    Brandin Cooks is Brandin Cooks
Jalen Tolbert is WR3 and totaled 270 yards
    Michael Gallup is gone

They NEED more help at WR. Cooks and Lamb have more positional versatility whereas Thrash seems to be exclusively outside, but he gives them a big bodied route runner with bricks for hands lol

The Jaguars have selected Mason McCormick, IOL, South Dakota State.

oh you thought I was done improving this offense for Trevor Lawrence? Hell no, it’s time to light a fire under the asses of Ezra, Morse, and Scherff, if y’all can’t stay healthy and can’t play well you do not have automatic job security. I WILL replace anyone who isn’t blocking well enough for Trevor with someone who will. We also need a better backup plan when someone inevitably gets hurt - McCormick played 57 straight games in college.

Interior offensive linemen from a lower level of competition seem to translate at a higher rate than other positions from lower levels of competition. Assuaging those concerns, his athleticism is absurd - he’s one of the best testing interior linemen in Combine history - and that definitely shows up on his tape, he’s all over the fuckin field blocking guys.

His tape shows an elite moving zone run blocker that is perfect for the Jaguars spread / outside zone rushing scheme. He excels at sustaining blocks throughout the whistle even while on the move, which is a sign of great footwork. And he excels at getting to the second level and blocking the RIGHT guy not just any guy. I would describe his game as very intelligent - you wanna see him play the game the right way and not only rely on dominating FCS athletes physically, and you do see that. His sense of angles in both open space and in a phone booth is money.

In pass blocking, he’s also good overall - allowed 0 sacks this last year. Sometimes he struggles to anchor vs a bull rush at times which COULD be a big concern considering that’s FCS DTs pushing him back further than you’d like. But that’s not due to a lack of strength, it’s entirely because of his pad level, he plays too high. That’s coachable and fixable, and I think he could be an absolute UNIT if he improves his technique. Has everything you want - great burst, great redirection, strong, great length, at 6’5” 309 and nearly 34” arms this is a guy that can play all five positions in a pinch for you, which Doug actively has talked about in several press conferences as being a thing he seeks out in offensive linemen.

If there’s one thing Doug LOVES it’s a super athletic chess piece offensive lineman who can be moved anywhere like a Queen, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Mason was the pick Baalke allows Doug to have this year. He’s a perfect scheme fit, he adds quality IOL depth next to Walker Little being quality T depth in the event of injuries, and he’ll be groomed to replace whoever of Scherff, Morse, Ezra makes sense to move on from first 2 years from now. Offensive lines take a long time to rebuild so I’m starting early.

  18. Arizona Cardinals select Jaylen Wright, RB, Tennessee

Not really a need for Arizona. But he’s my RB1 for the draft so I’m taking him.

  19. It was a good trade-up @Randall Mentzos

McCormick was my pick for Cards here. I was excited about double dipping at IOL this round and getting them SVP and McCormick but you ruined it!
