Ladd was injured last year but his career numbers in 14 fewer games (and that's being generous) are almost identical. 10% reception rate, 1.3 more yards after the catch per reception, 2.54 yards per route run vs. 1.75, a 10% higher contested catch rate, nearly twice the missed tackles, and 15% higher first down rate. Again, the production counting numbers are lacking but the efficiency numbers are excellent which is why Ladd shows promise.

I don't think it's very good either. That's why he's getting paid what he is and that's why I want to draft a WR.

Getting your 3rd option 750 yards and 7 TDs is...not milquetoast. Somehow the bar is now far too high. yards and TDs wise that's the third highest in the league last year for the third option.

    Sure it's annoying.

Eagles select Ja’Lynn Polk, WR, Washington

Polk can slide into the Eagles offense as their WR3 as a guy who can win tough catches and provide something as a blocker. Perhaps he gives them some inside/outside versatility. If he lines up more outside, that just frees up Brown or Smith for easier looks out of the slot. Polk can also develop over time to potentially replace one of Brown or Smith later down the line.

He’s been available a fair bit in our mocks and I’ve picked him before. I’ve also seen him talked about in mocks around where the Eagles pick and I remember Trevor Sikkema and Connor Rogers giving the Eagles Polk in a two-round mock they did so he’s someone I’ve paid a little more attention to when I’ve heard his name on podcasts or seen him floating around online

I watched his highlight, which is obviously only so much, but he looks solid. He made some impressive catches in tight coverage situations. I worry a little bit about how well he can separate, but he showed that he’s able to win in those situations. I also heard he’s clutch at picking up first downs.

If he can win out of the slot and contribute as a blocker in the run game (which I’ve read/heard that he’s a willing and solid blocker), I think he would be a slam dunk for the Eagles with everyone else they’ve got. I don’t think they need someone to replace the speed that Quez brocght. Brown and Smith are going to get open regardless. I think they could benefit more from someone who is more physical. Brown plays physical at the catch point and after the catch, but not as a blocker. Smith can post up defenders in contested situations, but he’s obviously not a plus blocker. If Polk can bring that, while also providing the Eagles a big frame on Kate downs and in the red zone, I think that would be ideal.

They don’t need flashiness from their WR3. They need reliability and someone who can step up into a larger role in case Brown or Smith miss time.

I can and have given you all kinds of cool stats about Legette too but apparently only your stats matter haha

cool. I want to be sure we have enough weapons because we have consistently lacked them so I drafted two. It’s not that wild lol

Again, volume. Has way more to do with how much Allen throws for in general than Gabe’s talent.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Lions select Christian Haynes, IOL, UConn

Yeah that’s a really backhanded thing to say

I wouldn’t be arguing that point if I didn’t watch the tape

And Adonai did a good job stepping in on short timing from the transfer and was a better chain mover and red zone threat than Worthy right away / Legette did explode and make good on that volume once he was featured.

arguing that Legette isn’t REALLY good at contested catches is just not something I or the majority of people who have watched him are ever going to agree with.

    The rivalry is back on

No opinion being given but because he is still being discussed, I was a little surprised to see Brugler had a 3rd round grade on Legette and the prop betting lines have him at a similar place

I’ve kinda lowered my expectation to him being a dream scenario to get in the third if we do other things in the first two rounds vs being an expected option at 45

I think he could fall. This is a deep WR class. I think he could fall and also be deadly and make teams wonder why they passed on him in hindsight

You have provided stats and said "this is really good" and I then provided the context that shows it is in fact, not outstanding or hugely noteworthy.

Then why is Gabe not targeted in a way that reflects that volume?

No I'm agreeing with you that it's annoying.

Yes, he did. I never said otherwise.

Legette not being featured for four years is the concern. Especially since he practically had NO role for four years. That's extremely rare. That's a major concern.

but the entirety of people who know what the numbers are will agree with it. His career percentage is 42.9 and last yearit was 47.6. That is objectively not "REALLY good". He's good at it, not great. That's fine.
