The Giants have a billion needs, but if they can stay put with their round two pick and do this after drafting an elite weapon and making zero trades idk why they wouldn’t.

Giants select Bo Nix, QB, Oregon

The vibes seem very off whenever the team discusses Daniel Jones or when Jones himself does a press conference. I have a feeling Shoen and Daboll would like to control their destiny and not lose their jobs over a QB who has never actually been good in 5 years that they didn’t even select.

They can’t throw more than 15 passing touchdowns in a season with the guy, he literally averages less than a touchdown per game and less than 200 yards per game. He’s trash. It’s time to admit it. However, he does make for a perfect scapegoat for the team still having a lot of holes this year while Nix learns on the bench and MAYBE starts the last 5-6 games of the year if he’s ready. Jones, while still under contract, is fully cuttable after 2024. You let him pretend to prove himself but really you’re paying him to keep the seat warm and take the worst hits while a newly Nabers-led offense gets its legs under it.

PFFs current board is insane. They have Jalyx Hunt top 90 lol. But I've heard a lot of top 50 buzz for Rosengarten since January and it hasn't died out so I'm thinking there's some vallidity

It's one of those things where if they are right about him being really good, they can say they had it first. If he's not good, no one will care because it's what was expected.

Can’t believe I’m doing this lol

The Eagles select Kamari Lassiter, CB, Georgia

Corner is a huge issue for the Eagles, as none of their projected starters can be counted on to play good ball this year. Slay is 33, coming off a solid/good year, but it’s hard to see him returning to the level of play he was at in 2021/2022 at this stage of his career. Bradberry will be 31 and looked cooked last season. Meanwhile, the team brought back Maddox on a cheap one-year deal after cutting him last month despite missing close to 75% of games over the last two seasons.

Ringo is no sure bet to be ready to take over as a starter and Ricks is better served in a backup role right now. There are Isaiah Rodgers truthers, but I am not one of them. Lassiter can come in and serve as Maddox’s backup in the slot, and likely play meaningful snaps in his place when he inevitably misses time.

Trying my best not to scout the helmet, but Lassiter falling here lines up with the Eagles’ needs.

    there is one way out

Pittsburgh Steelers select Malachi Corley, WR, Western Kentucky

It might be a tad early for him, but he won't be there at Pittsburgh next selection. This dude is a STUD and is a very different receiver than Pickens, making him a great complement. The more I learn about him and watch him, he's become of my favorite WR in the draft. He's physical enough for Arthur Smith's offense. Pittsburgh isn't afraid of small school WRs, and they've visited with him, so this feels pretty realistic to me.

I think Corley will definitely fall to the third and Mike Tomlin definitely won’t be interested but at the same time it’s a great mock draft pick

    The rivalry is back on

I hate second to third round QB picks on bad teams out of principle (doesn’t solve the QB need, uses up an asset that keeps the team from getting better at a different position), but in terms of value and what the team is telegraphing, spot on!

I think Corley and Malik Washington will go earlier than people expect right now.
