We've made 16 picks over the last two days, I wouldn't say this is moving quickly.

 

I picked a team on Tuesday afternoon and it was already pick 17 wednesday. Usually we wait a few days to start, not like 2 hours - especially if we are still a month out from the draft. I had an open mic event Tuesday night and two job interviews yesterday, so obviously I wasn’t on chorus. Y’all gonna have to give me a minute for this pick.

 

Absolutely no one is rushing you lol

 

It's fair to get out ahead of that though, I've seen how it goes sometimes

 

All I’m saying is we should agree on start times so if someone’s busy they don’t miss out on the ability to move around in the draft. & a few days between picking teams and starting the mock is how we usually do things

 

Whatever since Matt isn’t responding about Higgins even though I know he’s online

Jags have traded pick 17 and Zay Jones to SF for Brandon Aiyuk

literally the only WR1 option I have left after Baalke made us desperate for one

The 7th pick wasn’t even advertised as being available iirc, so I don’t think you would’ve been able to move up anyways @Randall Mentzos

And we are doing the same amount of mocks and frequency that we do every year. One right after the SB, then around the combine. Then after FA. And we’ll do a last one right before the draft.

 

6th pick was I believe

 

it was available for about 10 minutes

 

if we resign him yes it is. I just don’t trust Baalke to be understanding that a WR1 with that level of ability is going to want THE BAG and teams have to be comfortable overpaying a bit to have veterans like that. I still can’t understand why he was blindsided by Ridley’s number, it was the exact number I predicted a month or two before free agency, no one should have been surprised that’s what he got when our plan all along was to let him hit the market for better draft position.

 

Also sorry I was grumpy earlier today, Aiyuk is a fine move.

 

In my experience we’ve always done 3, not four. Even in the title of this one Matt is apologizing for starting the second one before FA but then he only gave people like 4 hours to get ready for this one lol. We got 15-16 people’s different lives and schedules to juggle, I think a set start time would benefit us in the future

 

The 7th pick wasn’t “available” as much as that Dave offered a no brainer offer for it at like pick 2

Cincinnati Bengals select Taliese Fuaga, OL, Oregon State

HUGE steal for the Bengals here. Fuaga is closer to OT2 than he is 18th overall. He can compete with Volson at guard and/or replace Trent Brown next year.
