    The San Francisco 49ers select:

Anthony Gould - Wide Receiver - Oregon State

Valuable slot depth that should contribute right away as a return specialist

lol hey man just saying I tried. I’d be willing to bet he goes for less or doesn’t go at all.

Hell, I’d be fine with 2025 picks for Reddick. Worth keeping in mind for the next one

Worse players have gone for firsts simply because of their ages while Khalil Mack and Von Miller in their 30s have gone for seconds

Reddick is still a great player and has had double digit sacks for four straight seasons across three different teams. The Eagles aren’t gonna trade him for, like, a fourth just because he’s turning 30.

The conversation starts with a second round pick. Anything less than that is a disappointment

...the Arizona Cardinals are interested in moving up from 138 by the way

Can I trade Trey Lance or no

I don't want him on this roster but also I know the Cowboys got him pretty recently for too much so it'd be kinda silly to do (though I did draft a replacement)

    *** Trade ***

The Arizona Cardinals have traded picks #138 & 186 to the Buffalo Bills for Pick #133

The Arizona Cardinals have selected DeWayne Carter DL, Duke

I’m pretty stoked on my Jags draft. The players I was looking at for round 5 are all kinda coming off the board anyway.

Trading for Aiyuk (or alternatively, Higgins) with the R1 pick is def my favorite option if we don’t trade up for the top 3 and Adonai goes before us. Not addressing WR with our first round pick would’ve been an option for me if we kept Ridley, but it definitely isn’t now. Letting him walk only makes sense if we planned all along to be aggressive in the draft to get someone potentially better.

We’ve already chosen via free agency to stick with our offensive line. And while at first this frustrated me, because on paper the line was statistically bad last year… it’s a fair decision considering we’ve addressed 3 different positions already in the last two years. Anton was a promising rookie who probably won’t struggle as much as he did at times in year 2… Luke Fortner and Ben Bartsch were both already replaced with very affordable but much better veterans. If Cam Robinson isn’t also missing several games to suspension and injury, the line 100% should be improved, with Morse in the mix and Ezra not playing mid-season catch up to learn our offense.

So after using free agency to:
-solidify the line to improve on Fortner/Bartsch (Morse/Ezra/Scherff restructure)
-add a veteran presence at CB2 to replace Darious (Darby)
-add a WR with decent production at WR3 to improve on Zay Jones (Davis)
-add a strong IDL rusher (Armstead) to vastly improve on Adam Gotsis

The goals of this draft were:
-putting a WR1 on this team to improve on Ridley (Aiyuk)
-adding a better starting NT to improve on Hamilton (Sweat)
-adding EDGE depth to replace the losses of Smoot / Chaisson / Key + 3-4 DE depth to improve on RRH (Kneeland is both)
-adding CB3 competition / two press-cover guys who can duke it out to become CB2 after Darby’s contract (Green and Abrams-Draine) to improve on Buster Brown and replace Greg Junior and Tre Herndon.

Those are the literal next steps to fixing this football team. I think I done good.

That's probably the last pick for the Cardinals, but I feel like we've left with a haul and a really positive outlook on the future.

    Marvin Harrison Jr, WR
    Cooper DeJean, CB
    Jared Verse, EDGE
    Zach Frazier, C
    Xavier Legette, WR
    MarShawn Lloyd, RB
    Gabriel Murphy, EDGE
    DeWayne Carter, DL

I see a handful of starters in there and a few guys who I think are gonna be true difference makers.

  20. Panthers:
    #33 Ladd McConkey, WR
    #39 Payton Wilson, LB
    #65 Sedrick Van Pran, C
    #97 Javon Baker, WR

    Bears:
    #1 Caleb Williams, QB
    #9 Brock Bowers, TE
    #75 Mason McCormick, IOL
    #123 McKinnley Jackson, DT

    Rams:
    #19 Laiatu Latu, EDGE
    #52 Christian Haynes, IOL
    #83 Roger Rosengarten, OT
    #114 Michael Pratt, QB

    Seahawks:
    #16 Jackson Powers-Johnson, C
    #81 Kamren Kitchens, S
    #102 Brandon Dorlus, DL
    #118 Khristian Boyd, DT

These teams were kinda hard to pick for because of the picks being kinda spread out. But they all came out solid. I’d be very excited as a Panthers fan to land those four guys.

    like, literally.

positions Jags were fine without addressing:
Starting QB, RB, starting TE, T, FS, ILB, starting EDGE, K, P

Weaknesses Jags addressed in free agency (or already traded a draft pick for):
Backup QB, G, C, depth at WR, depth at TE, pass-rushing IDL, CB2, SS, one decent young backup EDGE, kick returner

weaknesses this Jags mock would address:
leading WR, run stuffing NT, another decent young backup EDGE/another pass rushing IDL, depth & extra CB competition

Baalke had a great free agency, I’ll admit. The amount of money spent to address all those things was pretty low but I think most of them are good players. Without the draft I did though, jags could still have all 5 of their biggest problems during our collapse last year -
    1) WRs that get son’d by good secondaries
    2) no one helping Travon Walker and Josh Allen get sacks
    3) run defense up front sucks and it’s making the linebackers overextend themselves
    4) coverage can’t handle one on one matchups
    5) offensive line sucks / Cam + Scherff aren’t good enough to lead it

With my draft factored in, my opinions on 1-4 change and it’s really only #5 that could make or break us, but I believe even SOME improvement there is enough to get the old Trevor back if they can even be an average line.

    Jared Verse, EDGE
    Zach Frazier, C
    Xavier Legette, WR
    MarShawn Lloyd, RB
    Gabriel Murphy, EDGE
    DeWayne Carter, DL

I've already given my thoughts, but I'm happy.

    Patriots:

    Jayden Daniels, QB
    Xaviery Worthy, WR
    Devontez Walker, WR
    Blake Fisher, OT
    Skyy Moore, WR

As a Patriots fan, this would please me bigly.

    Browns:

    Jeremiah Trotter JR, LB
    Patrick Paul, OT

Hard to do anything of impact for a team that traded their future away for a rapist. But I like Paul I guess?

    Buccaneers

    Nate Wiggins, CB
    Cooper Beebe, IOL
    Marist Liufau, LB
    Bucky Irving, RB
    Javon Solomon, EDGE

This feels "fine" but doesn't really move the needle as much as I'd like for the Bucs.

Bo Nix, Jonathon Brooks, and Jamari Thrash is about as boom or bust as a draft can get but I like it from the standpoint of drafting for a team that needs to take risks
