The obvious pick. Caleb walking into an offense with a solid group of weapons around him and the potential for more later in the draft. It feels like things are falling into place for the Bears. Which means this will somehow end up being an epic disaster.

The draft stays chalk for now as the Patriots select their QB of the future. With Brissett on the roster, there’s no rush to start him right away, but when he does play he’ll bring multiple new elements the Patriots have been lacking the last few years.

Vikings get their QB of the future, or at least for the next two or three years. How good McCarthy will be at the pro level obviously remains to be seen, but this is a great landing spot for him with a solid offensive line (at least at tackles), a great cast of receiving threats around him, and a good head coach in Kevin O’Connell. They finally have a plan that isn’t just running it back with Kirk Cousins for the umpteenth time
