***TRADE*** Atlanta Falcons trade their 2024 2nd rounder + conditional 2025 3rd round (coverts to 2nd under conditions we didn’t discuss) to the Chicago Bears for Justin Fields.
4th Pick, the Arizona Cardinals select Marvin Harrison Jr, WR, Ohio State Probably Prospect #1 falling to you at 4, in a position of need, is about as lucky as the Cards could get. Kyler isn't perfect, but he doesn't suck enough to move off from, particularly for QB4 in a draft. Instead MHJ immediately comes in as WR1, and Hollywood Brown can return and be placed somewhere in the depth chart more fitting his skillset.
Also on the fields trade, pulling in 43 basically buys me out of getting clayfooled and snagging A future asset for a player we don't want anyway is a bonus so happy to do it.
Los Angeles Chargers select Malik Nabers, WR, LSU I really hate the idea of LAC taking a WR in the first in back to back seasons. There are other needs to address. But, Nabers might be too good to pass on. And their first round pick last year doesn’t look promising. So, it makes sense. But I don’t love it even though Nabers is probably going to be amazing.
New York Football Giants select Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia Giants need a ton of help, so just taking BPA honestly.
Atlanta Falcons select Rome Odunze, WR, Washington Falcons adding Fields and Odunze would make me angry.
The Bears select Jared Vearse, Edge, Florida State Well, the board fell pretty terribly for me at 9. I wanted one of the WRs or Bowers but alas, time to move on. Drafting an edge here doubles down on the Montez Sweat trade. I like Vearse more than Turner because his testing and scouting reports read “complete player” even if Turner is a better athlete.
