here I am trying to stay offline in Japan and we take MHJ 1st overall. Tbf though about 50% of Bears fans will be mad with either outcome at #1. It’s so toxic and annoying in online Bears land at the moment. And it’s only February.
Not sure that’s true of MHJ? He had almost identical numbers but in one fewer game and 10 fewer catches
Atlanta Falcons select Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU Daniels seems to be shooting up the draft boards and I’d be surprised if he doesn’t go top 10 at this point. So him falling to the Falcons at #8 is an ideal scenario for Atlanta. He isn’t a finished product by any means. There will likely be some growing pains. But I love the idea of a Daniels/Robinson/Allgeier running attack trio. If utilized correctly, the running game could really open things up downfield for Daniels, which is where he shines as a passer. I think they need to add another WR but Pitts/London is a great tandem for Daniels to start with. I love their OC hire in Zac Robinson. Young gun coordinator from the McVay tree getting to work with this bulk of talent could be a nice recipe for a new era in Atlanta.
was hoping Fashanu would still be around and Latham at 9 feels like a reach, so with pick #9 we're going with: Cooper Dejean - Cornerback - Iowa bears have a situation coming up with jaylon johnson's free agency so, if they retain him this could obviously be made moot. but, if he leaves chicago, dejean could shore up a lot of problems with their lack of secondary depth
Also had more drops and a worse contested catch rate despite the same amount of targets - which is also a higher number than you'd like to see. Also need to go back and watch both Rutgers and Notre Dame games because he got shut down by them two years in a row.
With the 10th pick, the New York Jets select: Taliese Fuaga - Offensive Tackle - Oregon State Day 1 starter at right tackle. Like AVT, has position versatility where he should be able to kick inside or out depending on how things go in free agency + training camp. Currently, the Jets only have Carter Warren and Max Mitchell as their OTs under contract. Warren played OK down the stretch, but this is a huge upgrade on NYJ's weakest unit. Warren can not provide key depth and play the swing tackle role.
The Denver Broncos select: Jer'Zhan Newton DL Illinois I fully admit this is who I want the Broncos to take more than who I think they will. Denver could pick just about any position here but they desperately need help on the DLine. Newton is a beast up the middle and offers interior pass rush the Broncos haven't had in quite some time.
Woof, the Raiders roster is pretty rough. So let's start at the top. New HC, new OC, new QB. Las Vegas Raiders select Michael Penix Jr., QB, Washington @Dinkleberg Saints pick
