Eagles select Jeremiah Trotter Jr., LB, Clemson The Eagles desperately need to improve their LB room so this satisfies that need. Trotter can develop behind Dean and a veteran free agent brought in and could eventually take over as a starter in his rookie season, or he can transition into a starting role in 2025. Also, vibes matter
Cleveland Browns select T'Vondre Sweat, IDL, Texas The Browns have two DTs under contract right now. Sweat is an absolute monster, outstanding run defender, and surprisingly great pass rusher for his enormous size. @xbrokendownx dolphs
Titans select Ja’Lynn Polk, WR, Washington Their WR room is bad and it gets even badder if they trade or cut Hopkins. Let’s add to that room
It's kinda a meme pick, but yolo. The value seems fine for here: the TAMPA Bay Bucaneers select TJ Tampa, CB, Iowa State @Dinkleberg back to you Brosephine
If people wanna take my non-Eagles picks, that would be great. Moving forward, I’m not gonna be able to more than the Eagles for these things because of the way my work schedule is set up. I don’t want people waiting on me to look up rosters and contracts of teams I’m not as familiar with and then have to look up prospects that might be a good fit for them. Sorry friends. I don’t want to hold you guys up. My job just isn’t conducive to being on my phone or laptop for extended periods of time, if at all.
Green Bay Packers select Caelen Carson, CB, Wake Forest Packers keep rebuilding their putrid secondary with an underrated CB out of Wake. Carson plays physical and has a nose for the ball. A lot of pass breakups. He’s also a strong tackler and can potentially help in the run game.
With the 59th pick the Houston Texans Select EDGE Jonah Elliss, Utah Elliss is a very intriguing edge prospect that should fit in well for Demeco Ryans defense. Elliss is fluid and rangy with good anticipation and instincts. If he can refine his pass rush repertoire further (notably his counters) and become more violent at the point of attack he should become a very solid addition to the Texans pass rush. He has a nice bag of initial moves already.
Carolina Panthers select Roman Wilson, WR, Michigan Speed. Ability to create separation. YAC. Contested catch threat. These are some basic things you look for in a wide receiver. The Panthers had none of it from their group of receivers last year. It is a position that absolutely has to be addressed if there is any hope of salvaging Bryce’s career. Wilson basically checks every box on that list. Downfield speed but also short area quickness give him the ability to play in the slot or outside. He just has a knack of getting open. And he has great ball tracking skills and consistent hands. I think he’s a steal at the end of the second (but this WR class is loaded so he could make it this far).
