Yeah it's pretty bad which, unfortunately, means it's probably pretty accurate

Rice, Owens, Harrison, Gore, and Ed McCaffrey all with sons in this draft. Wild.

Seems like this is the direction we are headed. Would be extremely pleased with it.

Why do you hate Ennis Rakestraw so much lol

I don't hate him, just like I don't hate Keon Coleman. They're both just very overrated.

I’m not happy with any offseason that doesn’t involve an investment in one of the absolute best WRs available

Well there are only three of those and it would require trading up, which I am in favor of, but that's also not the only way to succeed.

I think Mitchell can be a fourth and Legette has a chance of becoming a fifth later on

Trading for Aiyuk or somehow convincing Cincy to move Higgins also counts

If Legette counts then by all means Pearsall counts. There are only 3 guys who walk into the NFL at WR1.

Eh, I’m just looking for a scary, versatile X receiver. Doesn’t necessarily have to be polished, I know Legette is 2-3 years away from being what he COULD be. But, someone I could see running a full route tree and excelling at YAC and winning with physicality over the middle etc rather than just being a glorified deep threat or a Y/Z-only WR who can’t deal with press

Pearsall like BTJ is an awesome athlete - that I don’t want to be the lead receiver of our offense.

Oh okay yeah I'm still just looking for a good player period haha. Gabe is already the X. Wouldn't mind another, wouldn't care if we got one of the many excellent receivers that aren't that specific role.

I just don’t think Trevor has any scary athletes to throw to right now. Legette and Mitchell are 1) capable of physically dominant performances but 2) also show me the agility and nuances to run all the routes. That’s TWO things Gabe Davis doesn’t do as our “X”. He’s literally just a deep threat and could have the same impact on the game as our WR4 (Even Agnew got his 60 yard catches and runs.)

Kirk does the latter awesome, but when it comes time to do the former, he gets bodied / tries to fall away from the ball and use the sideline rather than stealing it out the air before the CB can get it. Kirk is awesome when the play we called was strategically appropriate and executed well. But that doesn’t help Trevor when he’s under pressure and didnt get the defensive look that play is designed to beat. That’s what I specifically want an all around X receiver for. Trevor’s capable of playing great risk-taking ball and changing the momentum of games when the stakes are raised, but to do that consistently and not just vs Brandon Staley’s prevent defense… he needs a receiver who can rise to that challenge and jump through somebody for the ball, or run a highlight reel improvised stutter step route and get away with a push off etc… if they have to.

I have seen Adonai Mitchell and Xavier Legette sky over morherfuckers and fight them for the ball without being slow or laboring to change directions like a Coleman or Allen Robinson, yes they’re not as “ready” as Odunze but they have the potential to do what I’m talking about

I get that you want that and that's fine to have that preference. I just don't care as long as they're good. Pearsall also does what you're talking about. Dude was bailing out Graham Mertz left and right despite Mertz sometimes actually just trying to kill him.

My guess is Graham Mertz is a fake name you’re using to test is people know ball or not

No. Having co-conspirators does not help your case.
