Robert Saleh and Jeff Ulbrich coined the term baby backer in 2022. He's one of those. Ashtyn Davis played that role for the Jets. They'd line him up at free safety a lot and walk him up. Just a different look.

He runs the alley in run support better than any DB in this class, probably why some deem him as a box player...but he's coming from 12-15 yards deep.
