That is a LOT of holding, I get why the DL got upset. You can’t just hold a guy’s pads for several seconds. The DT tried to disengage and couldn’t cause the guy’s hand was still hooked under his shoulder pad. He was trying to push off and Christian Haynes kept pulling him toward him, of course he won the rep. That’s why by rule you cannot pull anyone, only push.

This the same shit I saw on tape with JPJ. No idea why college refs are so much softer about calling that, the NFL doesn’t call holding every time but they absolutely will if they clearly see your hand under a shoulder pad.

yeah probably, although I think DEN is a year away from having a good situation to plug a QB into. I think it makes more sense to sit on their hands for a year vs reach for Nix (and not even have a 2)
