The problem is deciding which rumors are bullshit and which are true. The ones that make sense probably are bullshit. Except the ones that aren't. And the ones that are too stupid to be true probably are. Except when they aren't

I guess what I don’t agree with is the offensive philosophy that your X should basically only be a deep threat who might run occasional hitches drags and slants to keep defenses off balance. I genuinely believe both your X and your Z should be awesome route runners with the X being a little stronger and the Z being more elusive. I like having a pure jump ball guy or speed guy you sub in sometimes but I think it limits your ability to be unpredictable if you have a boundary receiver always running simple routes

This makes way more sense with David in the fold than Thomas at X and Gabe anywhere else

I know they’ll obvious move around a bit, but I have a tough time imagining Gabe playing less than, like, 85% of the snaps at X

It was better when analysts said wr1 or whatever, half the people who use the term don’t seem to understand x y or z lol

    AFC east:
    Jets: Z receiver
    Patriots: (no great WR1s)
    Bills: was Z receiver
    Dolphins: Z receiver

    AFC south:
    Texans: X receiver
    Colts: X receiver
    Jaguars: (no great WR1s)
    Titans: X receiver

    AFC north:
    Steelers: (no great WR1s)
    Ravens: (no great WR1s)
    Browns: X receiver
Bengals: both WRs swap X and Z

    AFC west:
    Chargers: Z receiver
    Chiefs: (no great WR1s)
    Raiders: X receiver
    Broncos: (no great WR1s)

    NFC east:
Cowboys: Z but he plays a lot of X too
    Commanders: Z receiver
Giants: (unsure where Nabers will be)
    Eagles: X receiver

    NFC south:
    Falcons: X receiver
    Saints: Z receiver
    Buccaneers: X receiver
    Panthers: X receiver

    NFC north:
    Packers: (no great WR1s)
    Vikings: X receiver
Bears: right now Z but it’ll be X If Odunze is as good as we think
Lions: …the one team who’s elite WR is slot lol

    NFC west:
    Seahawks: X receiver
    49ers: X receiver
    Cardinals: X receiver
Rams: they just move their WRs all around, Kupp’s more of a Y Nacua’s more of an X

even if I’m wrong on some of these at the least it’s an even split. I think generally more teams still use their X as their main guy, and the ones that don’t often have a QB better than Lawrence… so they can get away with not targeting the most expensive and rare kind of receiver draft-capital wise (and even then some of those have better TE - Ravens, Chiefs, Bills TE room is gonna be as good as ours once Kincaid develops, etc)

Yup. X just means WR1 and for some reason Y and Z don't mean anything at all lol
