I believe in this team. Prestigious

It was a nice trade down

I don’t agree with BTJ but that’s fine. Maybe he’ll prove me wrong and become more than just a vertical threat by year 3.

I would be stoked though if the entire community of people discussing contracts would acknowledge how collective bargaining works. The players’ Union ensures by rule that players as a whole get 49% of the annual revenue of the NFL. So this means every time league revenue increases, the cap goes up, and player contracts go up by the same ratio. The last two years alone the cap has gone up by almost 25%.

So yes, Ridley quite literally is worth $5M more per year than we woulda thought he was worth based on 2022 season signings. When we don’t acknowledge that we are retroactively valuing players, not valuing them in the present. Just like how Tyreek, an elite WR, got $30M a season last year and then the following year the next tier of talent (ARSB etc) is getting that $30M. There’s always a delay between NFL player value increasing, and the perceived value of a player by fans and analysts following suit. Everyone always freaks out about the first few pins to drop and calls them wildly overpaid, and I don’t understand it, why do we never adjust and learn that that’s just how it works lol. It’s literally a players Union thing that makes sure players get paid fair.

When I was a kid I didn't understand how Nascar and sponsorships worked so I thought you just put what you loved on the car and I was always so confused by Jeff Gordon. Like damn that man must LOVE laundry

Josh, does the wiki have sections on known enemies? Like how you've got the train, Donnie has the worm, Elf has the gluten, and so on?
