Not just that! Stroud was a lot of peoples QB1. Penix isn't anyone's QB1 and is almost nobody's top 3. I love Penix. He was my QB3 entering the year before Daniels went tf off.

 

CJ Stroud didn't have 4 season ending injuries.

Penix is also a year and a half older than Stroud.

I wouldn't use a first rounder on him.

Could he be a steal? Absolutely. He could also turn into Sam Bradford in an instant.

 

DeBoer/Grubb run the best passing scheme in college football right now.

Jake Haener lit teams up in that offense and Fresno's wideouts are much, much weaker than what Washington is working with.
