Didn't say it was? But guys who put out 100+ page draft books certainly are putting in more work than people who say things like "Brock Bowers probably runs a 4.7" or "Rome Odunze can't separate"

I have always felt the same of you Re: the term Possession Receiver, and if we're wrong that's fine. I've just never categorized a jump-ball dude that way.

 

If you're bad you don't get to have your name on your jersey, unless you play offensive line in which case your name is double sized on your jersey so you can get called out

 

What I was getting at is unless they’re saying OBVIOUSLY wrong shit like the below, you cannot really tell how much research someone has done on film

I think you can be accurate about 50-60% of a player from very experienced scouting that factors in everything - granular stats that illustrate their strengths and shortcomings, narrative / production out of college, AND watching film *with an understanding* of playcall concepts and how the responsibilities of that player/position differ by scheme

but even the guys who do all of that well can still be wrong about the other parts of a player - how quickly they learn, how dedicated they are to study, how dedicated they are to diet and routine, how humble they are to their coaches and how likeable they are to their teammates, how emotionally mature they are to stay focused when shit goes sideways, how much they focus on grown man shit and not getting in trouble etc.

You can be right all day about a player’s skillset and talent level but then still end up wrong about their career because of the latter stuff that only teams know / are able to find out. Being able to handle the NFL as a JOB outside of games is 40-50% of the story

 

it just occurred to me that the NFL could choose to do the funniest thing ever and take away 79 from Atlanta for tampering

She had no reason to remain a Jags fan after we moved to Maryland, her and my dad divorced, and she ended up going back home to New Orleans haha

 

Funny enough my dad’s not even really a Jags fan anymore either lol. When he’s not too busy for football these days he watches the Vikings (he is from Minneapolis originally)

but they raised me going to, or watching, Jags games every week from age 5 so I’m dug in

 

Okay BTJ is absolutely better than Legette. Pearsall/Ladd too probably but they're also different roles and I love Ladd go Dawgs so whatever.
