And we invested in five free agent signings, a second round pick, and actually worked on building the line

You're criticizing us for not doing a situation that didn't exist

McBride is a tertiary weapon that looks like he’s gonna be at least as good as Engram is now

Are we taking Drake London first overall? lol. If we took a WR round one last year you'd complain that we didn't invest in the offensive line. AND we'd have almost certainly taken a horrible receiver

Okay but currently he is not so counting him is silly.

You don’t just count free agents, you look at who you signed and for how much.

we threw most of our money at the line, that’s true, but when you’re throwing it at players who already haven’t been cutting it it kinda loses its impact

Draft picks take longer. That still counts as investment

Again, you're complaining just to complain. We signed the best WR available and the best TE available. You can't sign people who are under contract.

okay so then we too have invested lmao. they took a tight end in round two and so did we.

Are we a better team with Rashod Bateman, Jonathan Mingo, and Christian Watson than Travis Etienne, Devin Lloyd, and Anton Harrison?

he was not the best WR available. The draft is also a thing haha. Trading draft picks is also a thing.

Please do not one for one compare BRENTON STRANGE to TREY MCBRIDE lmao

Most analysts hardly had Strange in round 3, McBride was the top TE prospect of his draft

Christian Kirk was 100% the best free agent wide receiver available. We tried to trade down from 1, nobody wanted to. So Drake London 1st overall over Travon? Christian Watson over Devin Lloyd?

You're complaining that they didn't try. I'm showing that factually, they did.

You’re forgetting the best weapon we could’ve had, who owned us twice a year before we had Trevor and is probably going to do it again on the Titans

No I'm not, that was not the Kirk year.

Still wanted to sign him both when he went to Arizona and then again when he went to Tennessee

He was traded to Arizona and before we had Lawrence at that lol

Other good wide receivers have been traded for since we got Trevor. If the draft and free agency options are really that slim then why weren’t we more aggressive about alternate solutions? Ridley was us trying to be cheap and see if we can revive a receiver who was outta the league with a third round pick

"Why didn't we sign a guy!"
    "We did."
"Why didn't we sign someone better."
    "There wasn't anyone better."
    "What about this guy?"
    "He wasn't available."
"Then why didn't we draft anyone!"
    "We did."
    "Not in the first."
"Okay so take 3 busts over three of our better players?"
    "Then trade for someone!"
    "We did."

Receivers Traded Since the 2021 Draft:

Julio Jones, Randall Cobb, Anthony Miller, Trinity Benson, Jakeem Grant, Amari Cooper (only offer), Davante Adams (chose destination), Robert Woods, Tyreek Hill (chose destination), DeVante Parker, AJ Brown (chose destination, Marquise Brown (chose destination), Bryan Edwards, JJ Arcega-Whiteside, Laviska Shenault, Jalen Reagor, Robbie Anderson, Kadarius Toney, Chase Claypool, Calvin Ridley, DJ Moore (only offer), Brandin Cooks, Elijah Moore, Allen Robinson, Denzel Mims, Ihmir Smith-Marsette, Chase Claypool, Van Jefferson, Mecole Hardman, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Jerry Jeudy (Kirk's role), Diontae Johnson (Kirk's role), Rondale Moore (Kirk's role), Keenan Allen (Kirk's role), Stefon Diggs (demanded out)

Coming back around to this for my own sanity lol

I’m not sure about specific players. I mean, I could name a handful of guys I think the Eagles would take, but I wouldn’t exactly be narrowing it down at all.

I think the Eagles ultimately go OL in round one, maybe CB. I think they’ll be interested in trading up for Fashanu, Latham, Fautanu, or Fuaga if any of them are available as early as the 12th overall pick. Same can be said for Mitchell or Arnold at CB. I also think they would be interested in Mims, Guyton, or DeJean at 22 or slightly trading up for one of them.

I could see them trading up for Bowers, or taking a defensive lineman at 22, but I think those situations would be less likely.

I’m okay with either OT or CB. Lane will be 34, hasn’t played a full season since 2015, and his current backup is either La’Raven Clark or Darrian Kennard.

I think they’ll ultimately go OT. Their CB situation is rough, but I’m willing to bet that they think they can address CB on day two or three, or by trading for a corner in the summer. Easier to trade for a good corner than a good tackle.

I’d love a good, young corner though.

    The rivalry is back on

I have no issues with the “Trevor Lawrence hasn’t had the best supporting cast” argument

It’s just missing an “and” that also acknowledges that I’d expect for the ceiling of a QB taken at 1.1 who was the best prospect out of college since Andrew Luck to be higher with the likes of Calvin Ridley and Christian Kirk than what we’ve seen thus far, which has to also be the responsibility of Trevor Lawrence in some way, shape, or form.

    Lets Go. Prestigious

    For Miami I'll say

One of Latu, Verse, or Barton at 21

One of the WRs or JT Sanders at 55

    I think I’m at like

    80% chance of Maye
    15% chance of Daniel’s
    3% trade down
    2% J.J.

And then at 34 it’s a “who the fuck knows” lol. I think they’d prefer to address WR via trade but that may not be an option. I think they want an OT but don’t feel they NEED one as much as the rest do.

I think 34 may be trade down.
