  1. If Washington was winning a couple more games I'd say give him another year. But picking 4th? Idk. It'll be an entirely new regime so it's hard for me to imagine they stick with Howell. Would I personally? I'm not sure lol.

    The rivalry is back on

I think it’s more likely that they bench him before the season ends than it is that they start 2024 with him as the starting QB

Given this, and I agree, I’m surprised you passed on Daniels here.

  4. Benching him would be very stupid so they'll probably do it. Gotta maximize your chance to pick 7th instead of 4th though!

  5. Daniels is the only QB in my danger zone and while I like him a lot, is a new regime going to look at Howell and say "wow that guy takes too many sacks" and then turn around and take a guy that takes too many sacks? That's also where I'm at with Fields vs. Caleb but my answer to that one is "yes, they're 100% going to do that"

It feels like IND last year in that I expect ownership to inform the GM and HC that they are taking a QB with their top 5 pick (assuming it stays as a top 5 pick) even if the value isn’t there and might be like CAR in that management would probably force the issue and trade up to do it anyways if the opportunity presents itself and they aren’t picking top 5

nahhhh drafting Caleb is definitely the move for the Bears.

We know where Fields stands. I'm not saying Caleb WILL be better but he represents the potential to be better

  8. Both sides are half-right for the Bears. They should take a QB and they should also trade down. If New England is in love with Caleb? Fuck yeah trade that one pick and get Maye.

Eww I’d rather trade down from Maye and get Daniels than trade up for Caleb

Bears should take Williams and then try to trade their second 1st, unless Marvin Harrison Jr is there. They need more than 6 picks. Also, I'll be curious if they do move on from Fields how much he goes for.

Not sure how realistic it is for Jax to give up 5 picks for #8 but this would be nice. Would need to prioritize a C, G, and rusher in FA.

If the Patriots wind up at 4, there is simply no excuse for drafting a tackle. I get it’s an area of need, and I want it addressed but it has to either be one of the three QBs or MHJ at 4. Or riots.

  22. If it's any consolation Olu and Alt are closer to the top two in the draft than outside the top five

Oh I’m sure they’re very good. I just think Onwenu is coming back so most of the line is kinda settled whereas aside from Douglas, the WR room and QB rooms are disasters.
