I bought an auto markakis jersey after his second or third year because I was so sure he’d be the next orioles HOFer

it’s still framed in my house but def not HOF worthy

 

Hamels is the only interesting one and it's only if voters get more lenient with modern starting pitchers

like Starlin Castro, Markakis was on track of having an outside shot at 3000 hits. would've been an interesting test of the voters since neither was truly hof worthy (nor would they have been even if you extrapolate a couple of 150+ hit seasons)

I would vote for Hamels. I would think about Braun too but I know steroids will keep him off most ballots

With a weak ballot it will be a good chance for the voters to get over themselves and put Beltran in next year!

Braun had better numbers than I remembered. I'm pretty strict on hall of fame so he's a no but he's definitely in the hall of very good career/brewer fans all time appreciation list
