That one sucked but with having won two in the previous 7 years it wasn’t as bad. Plus the 2004 Cardinals are the best Cardinals team of my lifetime, they’re never gonna be that good again. They just froze for the four worst games. That bites in a way that’s different than ‘13 where we shot ourselves in the foot a few times

 

Uh this needs some work lol

 

No one was beating that 2004 Sox team after that Yankee series. I haven’t gone back to rewatch the 2013 WS but yeah I definitely remember there were a few times when the Cardinals made some big mistakes that cost them the series.

 

Just a weird series, especially the games at Busch—G3 ends on that obstruction call in our favor then G4 ends with Kolten Wong getting picked off at first in a close game.

 

I was pissed at that obstruction play, I really thought that the series was over after that.
