It softened the blow a bit that I expected it - we have been disappointing for the second half of the season, I already knew we weren't built to outlast the long haul with all our pitchers hurt. I didn't bother requesting off work for the games.

But it's fuckin wild that it wasn't our pitching and it was our BATTING! With Santander being red hot all year, Gunnar being better in year two, Cowser red hot heading towards the playoffs, getting Westburg and Mountcastle back.... just makes no sense at all.

I don't usually mind this if it's at first at the beginning of the game or whatever, a quick pat on the back, "hey how's it going" type thing, but if it's a big spot, it should never be done.
