I was just talking with a guy in my office and told him that I've gone from very optimistic about the season to "well, there's always next year" in record time

 

Baseball is dumb and people that love it are idiots that never learn

 

rays lost glasnow, then springs, then rasmussen, then got glasnow back and then lost shane last year and still won 99 games

yankees can do it

 

To be fair, some of the guys have looked pretty good so far (Soto, Rizzo, etc.) if we could get Snell or even Monty, as long as Cole doesn't end up out for the season, we have an excellent chance at making the playoffs even if Judge is at 50-75%.

I just don't trust any of our other pitchers at the moment. Rodon looked pretty okay in his first start and then started trending downhill. I haven't watched Nestor yet, but haven't heard he's blowing the roof off or anything like that.

I have not listened to my mantras from earlier and am very concerned

 

Saying Soto has looked “pretty good” is quite the understatement I think haha. Rodon will settle into a solid #4 guy I think which is too bad based on who he was with SF and the contract he signed but is a massive improvement from last yr. Otherwise yall got some holes for sure esp if Cole is down

 

Shh, I’m trying to not let the baseball gods know that I think he looks more than pretty good.

 

Soto is going to hit .222/.390/.420 for the first three months before turning into Babe Ruth + Ted Williams for the second half

but the Yankees will already be out of the hunt by then

If judge goes off again the yanks could pull off the St Louis Special (top two mvp vote getters and swept out of the first round of the playoffs)

good to see that Augustus Gloop made it out of that tube safely and I respect him for doing absolutely nothing about the weight after that

Yankees are never winning another championship

 

neither are we. we can just sit and here and be sad as we slowly lose our grip on the most and second most WS titles (this will happen a lot quicker for us; dodgers could get to 12 in the next decade easily)
