The notification I got this morning was just "Ohtani: "I am now married" and it made me laugh. For such a huge star, I don't recall ever seeing anything about a relationship or anything like that so I just immediately pictured him meeting some woman and getting married immediately in Las Vegas

 

I imagine he probably has been dating the person for a long time and they’ve just managed to keep it private

 

I prefer the drunken night of debauchery ending in a marriage narrative better, thank you very much

Just had to give a training to some new people from another office and had my I Love Baseball mug with me. Found out that the whole office upstairs in Mets fans except one of these new guys. The other one is a Mets fan and had the nerve to say he was sorry to me.

Immediately hit him with "don't feel sorry for me, you haven't won since 86!" (sorry to those affected in this thread) and then commiserated about the lack of World Series rings/appearances since 09 with the other guy.
