If kershaw can hit a home run

I can hit a 100 mph pitch

 

100 pitch is plenty to just make contact with if it’s always a strike. You could get the timing down even if you just swing blind before he even releases the ball

 

just going to play the right way and go for a squeeze bunt and that can count as contact

 

i just called my friend who can throw 100 and we tried it and i hit a pop fly to shallow left first pitch

 

I would shit myself

 

Second pitch hit me in the spleen and now I have internal bleeding

 

i’m fouling it off and getting my shit rocked

I’m leaning into the pitch and getting on base because that’s what Billy Beane told me to do

I’m confident I could catch 100mph if I had catcher’s gear on. I feel extremely less confident about making contact bc it’s really all wrist speed, like literally how fast can you bring the bat around, and I simply do not think I would catch up nor would anyone here unless you played college ball

what’s the highest level everyone here played at? I played my entire childhood and most of high school, then again the last two summers in an adult men’s baseball league after ten years without playing

 

i played up to jv in high school as a catcher, i regularly caught kids throwing 85+ easy

 

i play slow pitch softball men's league right now. well spring is over and we're opting out this summer but we'll be back in the fall

I played middle school ball and sucked shit so yeah

 

my summer league coach when i was 15 told me i had potential to play college ball so i basically played college ball

 

i caught, pitched, and played shortstop until the end, so I’ve definitely caught 85+, honestly think it would be really fun to catch 100 as long as I could find my perfectly broken in catcher’s glove from when I was 16

 

i had a few extremely good catcher's mitts i need to see if they're still at my parents house. me and my older brother played a lot of ball growing up and he actually went on to play club baseball at the university of dayton for a couple years but we have a little brother that's 15 and just wrapped up his freshmen season with a .333 average (third best on the team)

 

I played two years of varsity fast pitch in high school. That’s all I have to contribute to this discussion.
