Carolina has lost 14 straight conference final games???????? That’s insane and find that almost impossible to be believed. Swept in 09, 19 and last year and now down 0-2. Good lord.

 

Unfortunately I don’t see how the Panthers don’t repeat. Like they look even better than last year.

 

Panthers are just too good. Really sucks for the Canes but we just aren’t as good as them. And most of us knew that going into this series. I think Panthers and Canes are capable of “running the East” for the next few years but we’re gonna have to add some talent or Florida will just keep rolling us. Can’t try to play the same style of hockey with inferior talent and expect to win against them.

Because he didn’t want to be in Carolina and seemingly let it be known to everyone in Carolina. Wasn’t gonna re-sign. It was awkward. And you could tell his effort wasn’t there. So we got what we could for him.

Still think the trade ended up ok for us. We acquired Stank who is a great fit along with some nice picks. We kept our cap space open. Made it easy to extend Hall. And now we have a bunch of money to go after free agents.

Not a great situation to go through. But we came out ok and made an ECF anyways.

 

I don’t have any hard feelings toward Rantanen. Wasn’t his fault he was in that situation. I don’t understand why he’d be so unhappy to play in Carolina, but he has his reasons so what can you do. We tried. Didn’t quite workout. But it didn’t really affect us going forward. Still in great shape.

 

well in one sense yeah. and if he wasn’t going to stay that’s all that matters. we made it to the ECF yeah but we look like we’re gonna get swept bc our offense can’t create anything. seems like the kind of guy we need specifically for this series.

 

I definitely feel like the trade was a win for both sides, really rooting for Stank
