These last couple games is how I expected this series to go from game 1. We're too passive defensively, we collapse to the middle too hard, our D is largely comprised of guys who can't move the puck well, and Florida's forecheck is relentless, so predictably, we've been getting hemmed in our own zone for entire periods at a time. To say nothing of Larry, Curly, and Moe who've repeatedly demonstrated they're not worth their paycheques*. And so here we are, shitting our pants in the playoffs yet again.

Please blow it up.

I was pissed at Nylander for his contract shenanigans. Especially because I thought he was the weakest link in the four.

Maybe i’m just a sensitive fan, but hockey media and broadcast crews fucking hate the Canes. Constantly lamenting us for “boring hockey” when we’re dominating games, and giving heaps of praise to opponents for mediocre passages of sustained pressure with no end product.

An audible deflation and disappointment in the voices of the TNT crew when that goal was overturned.

 

refs really just go out there every night with their minds made up on giving 3–5 power plays to each team, make sure no more than two in a row for either team, make sure to space them out for critical/momentum swinging moments in periods

no rhyme or reason to penalizing infractions purely about game flow and making sure every possible game has a narrative that plays out like an episode of television

not even saying Canes have been hard done by just an observation on how every game goes

For the record I don’t care if the Canes bore anyone, the disrespect is just annoying. Obviously can’t say much until they win hardware but the lack of recognition is palpable.
