I hate that Trump has made me patriotic. I never cheer for Canada in hockey events cause it feels like cheering for the casino to win but here I am.

 

Swap the anthem for Cotton Eyed Joe, and everyone's happy.

I think it was Shanahan that had my all time favorite disintegrated set of shoulder pads. They looked like they were made by Always, somewhere between light and medium flow.

 

My only complaint about this tournament instead of All Star weekend is it seems to take an extra day or two away from the NHL.

But this tournament is SO MUCH better than the last 5-10+ years of the asg. The actual game lost its luster for me a while back, but I'm not exaggerating when I say the skills competition was my favorite hockey night of the year for like 20 years.

The last decade, 15 years maybe, they lost the plot for the skills comp, and it turned into a "record and watch in an hour" thing.

So I'm super happy with how this 4 Nations thing is turning out.
