Every day I wake up still a Toronto Maple Leafs fan. I don't like it but I refuse to change. It's like a shitty marriage I stay in. It's fun watching $50M worth of scoring talent combine for a league average powerplay.

 

If it helps, I'm probably a lot older, so I've had a lot more Toronto fan wake ups than you.

My key has been numbness. If they ever do win the Cup, I'm genuinely not sure how I would react. Will my decades of flat emotional response stay ready, or would I actually lose my mind with excitement? Obviously, that's just a thought experiment - it'll never be needed.
