Definitely no take in there lol. I’m biased, but Porty is one of the best in the business (personal stuff he is dealing with aside). Been covering the team and the league since the first Jackets season. That post is 100% reporting. There are no personal “takes”. It’s on the reader if they take the “get this” part a certain way. Is he not supposed to report what follows after that? Anyone that takes the time to read one of his articles would actually find a refreshingly straightforward approach to reporting. No agenda which is a rarity these days.

I think Montreal have spent enough time in the mud to be able to start challenging again at any point. If someone like the Hawks or Penguins became perennial challengers yet again in the next couple of years that would be a different story.
