This will be insane(ly) bad for small market teams.

 

How? A rising cap is good

 

Great for players. But there will be teams in smaller markets that can't afford to spend to the cap when it gets that high.

 

Teams can afford it. The owners just won’t spend because they’re greedy.

 

Of course teams can but to think that they aren't all operating on their own internal max cap is wrong.

Areas like Buffalo, Seattle etc where they don't sell out games. Even Winnipeg will have to raise tickets to a crazy high level if they want to sell out that small arena they play in.

I'm all for players getting paid in all leagues though. Take the bag.
