this was kind of how it was for restaurants too. just brewed a bad atmosphere of drivers being shitty to each other to get their deliveries quickest, the restaurants treating all the drivers like shit, and none of the customers being happy they got their food at all so they didn’t have to get off their fat asses

it was owned by an anonymous guy from the city that seemingly no one who worked at the restaurant knew. DEFINITELY chicago mob lol.

 

Same with restaurants that have a casual carry out kiosk. Most the time those workers are even busier than the damn servers but people act like they’re doing you a favor if they tip you at all on a to-go order

 

i absolutely hated this until the GOAT assistant manager stepped in and "accidentally" left a bunch of comp cards.

 

two more fun facts about this hero:

- he played linebacker in college and said Daunte Culpepper absolutely destroyed him two years in a row.
- he was going to quit on a Friday and that Monday the company closed the restaurant so instead of leaving with nothing he got full manager's severance
