yeah i've stopped trying to justify why anyone would need an apple watch. its a luxury tech item. there's plenty of more affordable sleep and fitness trackers. i enjoy mine and will probably continue to upgrade every few years but nowhere near as frequent as the phone upgrades.

my sister has an Apple Watch and it does little animations of Woody and Buzz that my daughter likes so there's that

I am excited though that we get to tell my grandfather in person. We're flying down to Florida in April, so we've told some family and friends already but have issued a strict "if you spoil it for pop, you die" edict lol

 

My boss likes to do long distance bike rides and he has the watch with cell service so he doesn't have to take his phone with him

I have one but not with the cell service. It's a model 2 or something older. I bought it used for $60, so it's essentially a Fitbit at that price, plus it'll tell me when I get a phone call. My favorite feature is when I misplace my phone, I can use my watch to make the phone ring and find it

 

So it’s really like an, iPhone companion? Yeah I see how that’s convenient I suppose

 

and vice versa haha. this miiiight be the feature i use the most besides fitness tracking

The Receiver lineup kinda bums me out. I liked that the Quarterback version had different tiers of players. This is just all really good all-pro dudes.

 

yeah the whole behind the scenes gimmick is already kinda boring me. the PGA Tour series was really great in season 1 but it was very clear they tried to completely duplicate everything they knew people liked in season 2. felt very forced a lot of the time. i just simply do not need to see what george kittle or ARSB does at home when theyre not playing football.
