I’ve literally never wanted an Apple Watch but now that Josh wants one and can’t have it, I’ve been so tempted to buy one

 

I'm not gonna get one today, I need to be slightly more responsible

 

I got the very first one and sold it after a few months because I thought it sucked, got the Series 3 and had that for like 2.5 years before it fell off a counter at a different warehouse job and the screen shattered, then I got the Series 5 after that. I wasn't a watch person at all prior to having an apple watch

 

and Dave you REALLY shouldn't be buying an apple watch right now my dude lol

 

I stir my tea with a steak knife every morning because I'm too lazy to use a sppon

 

that reminds me that at the diner I worked at in my late teens, there was an elderly woman that was a regular and she would walk behind the counter and grab stuff for the other regulars. she basically would act as a waitress. annoyed the shit out of me

 

i use the handle of my butter knife lol

I don’t get the appeal of the Apple Watch. What does it do that an iPhone doesn’t do aside from biometric stuff like counting steps

 

One of the lucky things about baby #2 is they’re gonna have a pretty similar birthday to Milo so all of the hand me downs will work for size and season which is killer.

My dad got me an Apple Watch for Christmas a couple years ago and I like it a lot

I don't think I would've bought one myself ever

 

for me it's the biometric stuff (which I should use more and go to the gym again), plus audio controls & quick notification glances without having to pull my phone out of my pocket, or if I happen to just put my phone down somewhere while doing chores or working in the warehouse. like do I really need to stop the forklift and respond to this text from my wife or is it just a photo of our dogs, ya know

but yeah obviously it's just a luxury item

 

I use it for medication notifications too without having to grab my phone, but the main thing I think is wonderful is doing multifactor authentication in the most lazy way possible

 

This makes it make a little more sense. But when it comes to my iPhone, I keep that mf THANG on me. So the watch would be superfluous for me

 

I mean same, I always hate sunday mornings when it's like "here's your average screen time for the week"

 

I have become a BAG GUY so when I go out my iPhone is in a BAG so it's nice for me to have the watch

 

I also don’t need to count my steps personally, because I literally already know that every work day is between 10,000 and 20,000 steps plus all the walking to bus stops and biking around town that I do haha. I get why that’s a valuable thing for people who work in an office, commute in a car, and watch a lot of TV with their wife though… cause then it’s like “shit if I don’t make an active effort I will literally sit down all day”
