Nah, I have a job. I just have been looking for a year and not have much success in finding a new job.

I'm just at a point where I'm severely disengaged and dont care about my current job beyond like having it until i find a new one. they made it clear i make the top of my pay band and so the yearly review means fuck all to me.

 

Thats how i was at my old job for like an entire year.

My boss and the director over me both continue to say nothing but nice things and claim (can you truly trust what those above you say?) to be disappointed that there is no room for a raise for the second year in a row (tho now i know why this year). and there's really no room for growth rn. in a hiring freeze and no one above me has left. plus we're about to be acquired and i know there's overlap between the new company and ours regarding my department.

So for the moment I just tread water in my role. I don't try much beyond making sure I hit deadlines and produce quality work. Never been reprimanded or anything. And no, I won't sandbag my yearly review because that could set off alarm bells and id like to not lose my job until i get a new one.

 

It's way less than quiet quitting lol. but at the same time I have put the same amount of work in as i did last year and my review then was very positive lol.
