You know things are hopping in here when I respond to what is seemingly a five second old convo and find that I'm PAGES behind.

 

I went on a cruise like 5 years ago and it had to be one of easiest and simplest vacations.

I could totally use one of those again

I think a lot of people underrate relationships with your family and lifetime friends when it's like "why didn't you just move somewhere where you know no one and have to change careers and spend more money in the process but people online will think it's more cool?"

A lot of times large moves are extremely hard

 

Month rankings for me in MA:

1. September (football begins, perfect weather, pick an apple)
2. August (still summer, sun still sets late)
3. July (prime summer, go to the beach, go to the lake, sunny, usually take PTO)
4. October (would be easy #2 if it didn't start getting dark early and impending winter doom approaching)
5. June ("baby summer")
6. May (there's hope)
7. April (muddy and gross)
8. December (sucks, I guess Christmas and holiday season makes it more memorable than the ones below)
9. November (daylight savings kicks in fully, we hate ourselves, bad months ahead)
10. February (we're miserable)
11. January (meh life sucks badly)
12. March (long, no work holidays, brutal, terrible)

 

Any month where the weather gets to 80+ sucks ass.

I hate the humidity tremendously and used to feel the same, but I've changed. The ability to go outside and just feel air and go on a walk, go to the beach, drink outside at a brewery, eat outside, fires at night, backyard games, etc. all severely trump it being dark at 5 pm and freezing and dinking around trying to figure out what dumb show to watch next. We get like 3 warm weather months in the year I've learned to like it
