oh yes I agree with what you’re saying, I was just being a smartass at the “not an exact science” phrasing since it is just a division of counting stats

But yes, it’s basically just wide receiver slugging percentage, where receiving yards is total bases and routes run is ABs. Probably one of the better counting stat ratios if you look at a leaderboard and sort by it, but also devoid of context and football is a lot less individual than baseball hitting so you need the context more

 

at least the whole state can bunker down together in one shed

 

It's one important number though. Looking at other numbers obviously provides more context and is better but Y/RR overall is one of the more predictive stats for WRs.

 

Yeah it's obvious a trade up for anyone wasn't going to happen. The Vikings/Jets was the best anyone could do.
