My psychiatrist hasn't been responding to my messages about how I'm low on antidepressants and need a refill and I took my last one today and I still have no response

Has anyone run into this and if so what did you do other than freak out and/or feel miserable

I have but I have nothing of value to add. I ended up missing like three days and it felt like I had a jet plane in my ears and like I was missing frames in my vision or something and then they got it filled for me and all was good. Basically I'm saying that you may have some weird symptoms but hopefully if they get back to you quickly enough then you shouldn't fall out of rhythm and effectiveness.

 

So many of my friends have texted me “how’s your ass” and I can only respond with “more like how’s my head”

Are they part of a clinic or a sole provider? Do you have a PCP?

 

I do not have a PCP (I did have one but left them and have not found a new one), they’re through an online service so idk which answer that falls under

If it’s an online service, they should have a support number or something where they can get someone else on your file.

Maybe try calling an urgent care with all your documentation and see if they can prescribe a short term emergency amount

 

Ugh, this type of stuff drives me up a wall, i've had the same happen. I don't have sage advice but I would look for a different provider if it's not too difficult. That's unacceptable. That's what i did when it happened to me.

 

@Fucking Dustin I have heard of pharmacies giving 'emergency scripts' giving you a small amount so you don't run out. Try to call your pharmacy and tell them what's going on.
