Our pal Dilla said implied Aiyuk wanted more money per year than Ridley’s deal on a new contract so that was probably a hold up

 

I don’t care about Zay after the battery charge, even if there’s a 1% chance you can explain it away as “non-violent battery / didn’t cause injury” or whatever I don’t think you get charged with battery if you don’t legitimately terrify your significant other and that’s bad news. Trade him for a 6th round pick even *shrug* I ain’t trying to wait and find out how that court case goes

 

Eh, what’s it gonna cost to move up into the top-10? 17+ a 2nd? I think I’d rather just have it be like I drafted Aiyuk at 17 and he’s already a proven commodity

 

I also think I value proven commodities more whereas Matt def leans towards youth and potential, so that’s why I’m like 17 for Aiyuk? Fuck yeah let’s go haha

 

Yeah like if you’re gonna trade for a vet rather than prioritizing the draft then keep that energy and show everyone why you wanted the vet more. Ridley wasn’t quite enough but he also wasn’t bad enough to just cut your losses imo. Even if you only get 2 more years out of him that are better than 2023 before he declines, that’s worth what *is* functionally a 2 year $50M deal unless he truly proves himself to have longevity. I truly feel we should be comfortable spending more to give Trevor security on offense for his last two years of his initial contract, it’s an opportunity cost of not drafting receiver talent sooner.

 

It's the money at that point. We already have so much tied up at WR as it is. I think the top three have a higher ceiling too tbh

I wish I could remember my reaction about the AJ Brown trade. I remember getting up and yelling about the Jordan Davis selection, but the AJ Brown trade…I just remember @Joe4th reading the news and I was like “Wait, what?”
