There’s this boomer ass post on Reddit and then a comment that reminded me of this thread

 

While I agree that weed smells terrible, I don't really know what to do with that information other than just deal with it haha

It’s like anything else, some people are considerate about it and some people aren’t

 

I also kinda hate the taste but I do like being high so tradeoffs

 

all these people complainging about weed smell everywhere idk what theyre talking about. a lot of people are less discreet it about it nowadays for sure but i still kind of resent squares complaining about it. i used to go to a lot of effort to find good smoke spots off the bike trail in the woods and on river banks and shit and id still have like boomer couples inadvertently walk up on me sometimes lol like what else are people supposed to do

 

We’re at Busch Gardens for the food and wine fest. I’m a bitch baby when it comes to spice but my favorite thing I’ve had is the green curry chicken.

 

Yeah I don’t really get it cause a lot of the places you actually randomly smell it a lot, are parts of a city that are highly concentrated with bars and/or at large outdoor music events

and at that point like, yeah, you got people stumbling and being loud and puking from alcohol too, you probably got people on psychedelics at the outdoor concert and maybe even a few on crazier shit in that part of town with all the bars. that all just comes with the territory of areas centered around bars and nightlife

not just that but in cities in general where people are packed together the smell is gonna be pretty unavoidable so they might as well ask people to just not partake.

 

In the same vein though a lot of us could do more, including me. Like, I USUALLY step out on my deck or at least sit by my open patio door and blow the smoke out, to go smoke like a cig smoker would

but if it’s cold as fuck or rainy as fuck or it’s 3 AM and I’m tired, look I’m sorry I’m probably doing it inside because the smell doesn’t hang around like cigarette smell does.

Thankfully in cities like Baltimore and Atlanta I find solace in the fact that 60% of my apartment neighbors also smoke weed inside and the ones who don’t, don’t really have a choice but to deal cause it’s not just me lol

God I’m so glad I never have to have a roommate again lol

 

If i had actual roommates who hated the smell I’d be different

There are ways to ingest weed that aren’t nearly as smelly, including taking dabs / using vape pens which you’d have to be in the room to smell the faint crispy smell of that and it’s not anything like that harsh smell of weed burning

 

When she’s not pregnant, beads smokes every day but will usually step outside or at least step into the mudroom. She’s a good one.

 

That was my old man advice to all my college classmates. Live with roommates as long as you can cause once you live without them there is no going back lol

 

This advice is true for getting a king sized bed too

 

I don’t smell anymore weed in public now as compared to before they made medical weed legal in PA.

 

Also a lot of weed smokers are almost hyper-considerate and will light good smelling candles and keep febreze or a glade sprayer ready every time they smoke. Because it used to be ILLEGAL and they used to HAVE to do that to avoid getting narc’d on by a Karen or an Edgar

 

Sometimes making shit smell nice before you smoke can be part of the whole, setting the vibe of getting high experience, much like setting tasteful and calming mood lighting or putting on some great music while you smoke

Usually my favorite backdrop for smoking actually is being outside and feeling ambient outdoor air and hearing outdoor sounds so I usually have no issue stepping out
