Also “one call” is really reducing the impact of putting 7 points on the board that wouldn’t have been there at all or taking 7 points off the board that 100% would’ve been there in a SB or Championship game haha, not every missed call is equal. I prefer if those things are remembered infamously even if it obviously is never gonna change what happened in the end

if we’re just talking about a holding call that should’ve forced 4th down or some shit that’s different & doesn’t matter at all haha

I understand wanting to think about teams maybe getting screwed in the Super Bowl if your favorite team has never been close to maybe getting screwed in the Super Bowl but I was in 8th grade when that happened we gotta move on

Missed calls and wrong calls from refs are just not worth the time. Remember the end of the Rams-Saints NFCCG from the 2018 playoffs? Sean Payton cried about it so much, got a rule changed, and the NFL was worse off for it the following season

Do a better job as a team to not be in a situation out of your control like that

I think this is one of those times I shared something like “lol get a load of this” and was playfully trolling about it afterwards but people are perceiving it as me getting upset haha

 

Not that wide, just every time I’ve brought it up it reminds me that there’s probably a lot of bad calls we don’t even notice as fans lol

I’m just not surprised that you can see a bad missed call on the broadcast angle. I’m confident that there are bad and missed calls in every single game. Whether the broadcast catches them or not is a different story, but the refs are people and they’re never going to get everything right all the time.

 

I will say, not to belabor the point, but I actually haven’t found an angle yet that convinces me it was a block in the back lol. But also it was 15 years ago so who cares.
