I get that this is the venue most convenient to you cause it is down the road, but i also genuinely would respond that it's a venue by venue, show by show, thing and not every venue is just 16 year olds. In Baltimore, DC, and Jacksonville you actually do see a lot of 30 and 40-somethings at basically every show. Most Terrain shows have more people who are my peers (in their upper 20s to upper 30s) than anything. The only time you don't.... is in like, scene pop-punk and hardcore shows where the bands themselves are 17-21 year olds. I think bands tend to attract their peers just because of how they promote music and how drastically different social norms are in different generations. and there are bands of all ages out there.

some venues definitely are teenage friendly spots though, specifically DIY ones that aren't bars and proclaim themselves as an all-ages sober venue. & like there are house venues in college towns that mainly draw college kids, etc. I can understand why a grown adult wouldn't wanna go to something like that obviously lol
